The Shooter Method

The Shooter Method came around when guns became the more popular hunting weapon. This method is typically one individual hunter rather than a group. Since the hunter is alone and there is no one to watch his back, he will set up in a tree or with his back covered. He will camouflage into his surrounding to prevent being seen by his prey. This method relies heavily on playing the "waiting game." Hunters sit in their hiding spots and wait for the prey to come to them. One of the advantages of this method is that since there is only one hunter, there is significantly less noise than with a whole hunting party. The reduction in noise will keep the prey from hearing the hunter and running the opposite way. This means that the hunter is more likely to be successful.
Some downsides of this method is that the hunter does hunt alone. This means he has to carry his prey all by himself. He will likely also have to clean and skin it by himself. So although this method likely allows hunters to see more prey, they might have to be more cautious of what they decide to shoot because they have to carry it themselves.
Like the picture above, lone hunters can set up in trees or on the ground. Then they wait for their prey to come around so that they can shoot them. As mentioned above, this method takes a lot of patience because the prey has to come close enough to the hunter that he can get a clear shot and avoid hitting a tree.
